GreenICT and ICT4Green

ICT accounts for 2-3% of the overall carbon emissions of humanity, therefore specific attention should be centered on how to make ICT sustainable for the environment. At the same time, ICT can provide effective solutions to reduce the environmental impact of the modern world. For the above reasons, research in this field is focused on two major aspects: (1) sustainable ICT (including green cloud computing), and (2) smart grid communications.
